Travis has worked with UC Santa Cruz at College Eight as a Coordinator for Residential Education since 2003. Before coming to Santa Cruz, Travis was a Resident Director at UC Santa Barbara. Travis completed a B.A. in Political Science at Sonoma State University and a M.Ed. in College Student Affairs Administration at the University of Georgia.
Travis oversees the apartment community at College Eight. He also manages programs around alcohol education and harm reduction as well as programs for our first-year students. Travis serves as an instructor for the College Students' Lives course as well as a variety of other seminars. Two recent seminars covered the 2008 Presidential election and primaries. In January 2009, Travis took a group of UC Santa Cruz students to the inauguration of President Obama in Washington, D.C.
Travis’s personal interests include travel and international education and exchange opportunities. Travis has been a host parent to three German high school exchange students who had the opportunity to live here at College Eight, and he is a volunteer with AFS-USA. |
